Elena focuses on International and EU trade law, general EU and WTO law and customs. She has been involved in major WTO cases and trade proceedings.
Elena specialises in international trade law, general EU and WTO law, customs law and sanctions. She regularly advises clients in the context of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy proceedings, as well as in respect of EU, UK, US and Russia sanctions and export controls regimes. Her experience includes trade remedy proceedings started by the EU, Brazil and Russia, including such landmark cases as Solar Panels, OCTG pipes and Biodiesel.
Elena has also been involved in the WTO dispute settlement proceedings concerning EU and US Measures Affecting Trade in Large Civil Aircraft and has represented clients before the Court of Justice and the General Court of the European Union. In addition, Elena has experience with arbitration proceedings under ICC, SCC, LCIA and ICSID Rules.
Elena has authored a number of articles on EU trade law, as well as on the trade law of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Previously Elena worked at the WTO Appellate Body Secretariat in Geneva, international law firms in Belarus and Paris.
