Juhi’s practice focuses on EU and International Trade Defence laws, WTO law, EU Customs and Regulatory laws. She has represented companies, associations and governments in numerous EU trade defence proceedings concerning a diverse range of products including Footwear, Solar Panels, Solar Glass, Glass Fibre Fabrics, Optical Fibre Cables, Silicon Metal, Polyvinyl Alcohols, Bicycles, Ironing Boards, Manganese Oxide, Ceramic Tiles, Plastic Sacks, Antibiotics, Ductile Iron Pipes and Tubes, and multiple iron and steel products.

She has also represented EU companies and trade associations as well as other global clients in trade defence proceedings in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, India, and South Africa concerning among others, Apparel Products, Optical Fibre Cables, E-bikes, Silicon Metal, Fumed Silica, Silicone Sealants, Polyvinyl Alcohols, Sodium Cyanide, and Frozen Chicken. She has also assisted EU clients in bilateral safeguard investigations following FTAs.

She regularly litigates before the WTO dispute settlement body and has been involved in several WTO disputes including EU – Footwear (China), EU and Certain Member States – Certain Measures Affecting the Renewable Energy Generation Sector, EU – Biodiesel (Argentina) and China — AD/CVD on Wine (Australia).

Juhi regularly provides legal advice to EU and international clients on EU customs laws matters concerning customs procedures, origin, valuation, tariff classification and has worked closely in this regard with local customs and related government entities in several EU Member States. She has also successfully represented clients in obtaining derogations and extended cumulation under the EU GSP rules, in OLAF cases and has worked on projects with the World Customs Organization.

In terms of EU Regulatory law, Juhi has been advising and providing practical assistance to companies as regards the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, Foreign Subsidies Regulation, Green Deal – Net Zero Industry Act, Deforestation Regulation, Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, FDI Screening Regulation, International Procurement Instrument, Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing Regulation, Novel Food Regulation and regulations in the Organic Food sector among others.

Juhi has authored several articles on EU and customs laws.

Since 2010 Juhi has been praised and recommended year after year in the leading international legal directories including the Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal and Chambers & Partners. In the 2022 Edition of Legal500, she was complimented by clients as “one of the best lawyers in her field”. The 2022 Who’s Who Legal lauded her for her “amazing amount of knowledge of global trade law and trials.

Juhi obtained an LL.M. degree from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (summa cum laude) and an LL.B. degree from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University. She also holds a B.A. in History from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
